if someone is nonverbal for whatever reason
whether permanently or not
do not try and force them to speak
if someone is nonverbal talk to them anyway
dont do it because you want something from them
do it because they are people and they deserve to be included
I was wrong. My son makes me feel so much inside it manifests itself physically. I feel my muscles want to grab and squeeze him even when I’m not thinking about it. He’s starting to talk and when he sees me on the phone, he makes the faces only me and him make at each other because he knows I’ll do them back at him.
